Appointment policy

We appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to visit our office. We always do our best to attend to your needs as promptly as possible in order to avoid delays and wait times.


When you schedule your appointment, we reserve the time, materials and staff necessary to provide you with the excellent service you deserve. When you are more than 10 minutes late, cancel without notice or simply do not attend your appointment, you are taking time out of our busy schedule that could be better used treating patients waiting for care.

We have a very strict appointment policy; we require a minimum of 24-hour’s notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Failure to provide this notice will result in the following charges: $25 for the first offence, $50 for the second offence and should it happen again, a $100 charge will be applied, you and your family will be seen on an emergency basis only, or dismissed from our practice. Exceptions to this policy are at the discretion of the front desk staff.

Patients with coverage through Ontario Disability Support Program or the Healthy Smiles Ontario program will not be charged a short notice or cancellation fee, however, if you do not provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment or simply do not attend, you and your family will be dismissed from the practice after the first offence.

Changes to appointments must be made at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Changes can be communicated via telephone or by email.

Insurance policy

We will prepare and send insurance claims on your behalf, coordinate benefits and accept assignment of benefits. We do our best to work with your insurance coverage, but with increasing concerns with privacy, details of your coverage are very difficult to get. Please be advised we are not responsible for knowing your insurance coverage, or for any charges in excess of your insurance coverage. For those with insurance who are not covered at 100%, the estimated co-pay amount is due at the time of service. It is ultimately your responsibility to know what your insurance covers including maximums.

Financial policy

For those without insurance, payment for treatment is due, in full, at the time of service. For those with insurance who are not covered at 100%, the estimated co-pay amount is due at the time of service. We accept cash, debit, visa, MasterCard. Financed services can also be paid via e-transfer. Any major work or procedures requiring a laboratory or ancillary fee will require a deposit in order to book the appointment.

Financing options are available, but require a financial consultation prior to treatment and are subject to credit approval. For all accounts more than 90 days past due, interest will be charged at a rate of 3%/quarter. Accounts not cleared prior to 120 days will have an administrative fee applied and will be sent to collections.

Personal conduct policy

Our staff will always treat you with courtesy and respect, and we expect the same from our patients. Offensive language and aggressive, abusive behavior is not welcome in our office, on our phone lines or in our inbox. Please treat our staff with the same courtesy you expect to receive. Abusive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in your dismissal from our practice. Thank you.

Do have to pay up front?

As long as your insurance company pays us, we are happy to accept payment from them. You are responsible for any co-pay amounts not covered by your insurance at the time of service.

Do you have financing options?

Yes! If you cannot afford the up-front costs involved with prescribed dental treatment, financing options are available. Please note, a credit check may be required, as is the collection of personal financial data. To see if you qualify, please contact our office.

Are you open evenings and weekends?

Yes! Each office is open until 7pm most week nights and offers Saturday appointments once per month.  They are our most popular times, so please book well in advance!

Do you accept new/emergency patients?

Yes! Both offices are accepting new patients.  We do our very best to accommodate emergencies for both patients and non-patients the same day.

Do you have an orthodontist?

We have a dentist who practices orthodontics.  Dr. Connie Yong graduated as a general dentist and has done a great deal of supplemental training to be able to offer comprehensive orthodontic services in our offices including traditional braces, Invisalign and Myobrace treatments without the need to refer you out.

How do I get FREE WHITENING?

When you come in to have your complete exam and new patient cleaning, you are eligible for enrolment in to our lifetime whitening program.  We will create a set of custom trays just for you and supply you with a 7 day initial treatment.  We will give you a touch-up kit when you attend your 6 or 9 month check-up and cleaning, for life!

I need my wisdom teeth out, or another surgical service– Where do I have to go?

Nowhere!  In most cases, your wisdom teeth can be removed right here in our office under IV or oral sedation, or just with freezing!  Dr. Henry Wong offers a whole range of surgical dental services right here in our office without needing a referral or having to go to another office.

What services do you offer?
We are a one stop for most dental services – check-ups, cleanings, fillings, braces, Invisalign, myofunctional therapy (Myobrace), crowns, bridges, most root canal treatments, implants, complete dentures, partial dentures, Zoom! Whitening, extractions, gum grafting, bone grafting, sinus lifts, dental surgery including wisdom tooth removals, IV sedation, oral sedation, laughing gas, children’s dentistry and children’s sedation.

Do you refer patients out?
We always try to provide services for patients in our office, but if your treatment is beyond the scope of our practice or if you would be better served elsewhere, we will refer you out to one of our trusted colleagues.  We work with a variety of amazing specialists including denturists, periodontists, endodontists, dental surgeons, 24 hour emergency clinics and pediatric dentists.  When you are referred out, rest assured it is to someone we have worked with and trust with your continued care.
